Welcome to Orphan Gospel

Orphan Gospel was first started when I was inspired by a boy named Opio in Lira, Uganda who was suffering from severe malnutrition.  We discovered there were so many other children like Opio that were suffering that needed assistance.  Shortly after this awareness we committed in our hearts to help children in great need.   We feel passionate about three things which are helping children, especially orphan, refugee or displaced children.  We also strongly believe in spreading the gospel as it says to in Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”  We both feel strongly financial integrity is of utmost importance and to be accountable with the money we are entrusted with to use to help these children.

We know God cares deeply for all children and that each child is precious to God.  There are so many orphan, refugee and displaced children that need assistance all over the world due to the loss of their parent. In many cases the parent has lost the ability to care for their children due to war, disease or disaster that is out of their control.  We want to come alongside these children, parents and caregivers and help get them back on their feet again.  We want the people we serve to hear God’s word so they know there is a Savior Jesus that loves them, cares for them and can give them hope despite their hopeless circumstances.  But we cannot give them the word without meeting their physical needs.  Our ministry is constantly evolving as needs come before us and we try to respond to them based off how God is leading us.  You can learn more about what we are doing in Where We Work.  We hope you will come alongside us in this venture to help these children.  You can learn more about what inspired us to start Orphan Gospel by reading Shannon’s Inspirations.   Please join us through our 31 days of prayer, volunteering and/or donating to help make an impact on these children’s lives and future.
